Please include the following with each individual nomination: Author or Artist name, Story Title, public link for story or graphic, i.e. FFN, LiveJournal, Blogspot, Wordpress, Photobucket. 2. In the Category of Best Breakthrough Author, the writer may not have more than TWO posted stories prior to the date of 10/1/2013 and must be new as of 10/1/2012.  Outtakes from a current story do no not count as a separate story.  This rule encompasses multi-chapter stories and one-shots.
  3. Stories may not be nominated in more than three separate categories, EXCLUDING All Time Author and All Time Favorite Story.
  4. Stories containing rape for titillation, incest, or obvious pedophilia will not be validated. Stories which demean mental health issues will also not be validated.
  5. Only Twilight stories will be accepted for nominations. No crossovers, please.
  6. Nominated stories with significant grammar and punctuation mistakes will not be accepted. Unbeta’d stories are acceptable.
  7. All artwork and manipulations must be original to the artist. Banners created by an artist but using another artist’s manipulation work will not be accepted.
  8. All nominations must be received no later than 11pm EST on November 20th. No exceptions.
  9. At the end of the nomination period, stories, art, artists, and authors with the most nominations will progress to the voting round. This information will be available to the validation team in order to ensure fairness.
  10. The top seven most nominated stories, authors, and artists in each category will progress to the voting round. Any category that does not have at least five nominations in it will be thrown out at site discretion.
  11. If an author/story/artist is nominated in more than three categories, the categories with the highest number of nominations will be elevated to voting round.
  12. All stories and artwork must have been updated or completed after December 1, 2011, with the exception of All Time Favorite Story.
  13. Voting will take place from December 1 to January 3.
  14.  In the event of a tie, both nominees will be awarded the same place in the results.
  15.  Results will be posted live during The People’s Choice Awards on January 8.
During the validation process, a few necessary modifications were made to ensure as many categories and authors advanced to the voting round as possible. These also were necessary to make the first annual Fandom Choice Awards successful and equitable. Each modification was reviewed and approved by our team of validators from both sides of the fandom.
